Goeiedag medeboere en vriende!

Namibië is mooi! Hartebeestloop is mooi!

DOUBLE MUSCLING MANAGEMENT – COWS
Date:
March 2021

OUR POLICY – Part 2

Hartebeestloop has a policy regarding handling and management of Double Muscling genes in our COW herd. As with our bull herd, it has become necessary to have this in place – we have seen over and over again that “rules” make it easier for us to be consequent and stay on track to hopefully remove this gene from our herd in the near future.

This policy should be read and practiced in conjunction with the “Policy on the management of double muscling genes in BULL selection – Part 1”.

Your policy and the systems that you use may differ from ours. Management of double muscling genes will be herd specific and should be practiced as such.
