PERFECTUM HISTORICUM - Hartebeestloop Auction 2018 OVER!
Date:
May 2018

All good things come to an end, and for us, this has been a very blessed and happy Farmers’ Day & Auction 2018!

Our end however are many farmers’ new start – new start with new bulls or new female animals. Even lots of new knowledge gained at the Farmers’ Day! We wish them the best of luck and hope they will be equally blessed and happy!

Many thanks to all the roll players who made this event so successful. It is not possible to achieve something like this without all of you! Agra has again kicked in big time with their sponsorship in not just organizing the Farmers’ Day and providing us with delicious food, but also to ensure that farmers are exposed to meaningful exhibitors and interesting stalls. To our other sponsors, also thanks a lot! You guys rock!

But without support for both days, in VISITORS and BUYERS, this would all have meant nothing. A big thank you to you all! We sincerely hope to see you there again next year!!

We would like to quote Jim Rohn, “Whatever good things we build end up building us.” So true!

Our reward is indeed in this joyful journey with you all! God bless.

Inspection of bulls at Dassiesfontein

BOERE WEET WATTER DIERE DOEN GOED BY HULLE

BULLS WERE IN GOOD CONDITION

Dassiesfontein, our farm near Mariental where we rear our “stone/rock bulls”, was good to us on the 3rd of February 2012, when we had our inspection of bulls. It can be blistering hot during February, but the day was nice and cool with some cloud cover. There was even some indication of rain on the adjacent farms to the north. The bulls to be inspected were in good condition – thanks to an excellent rainy season during 2011 and some strategic lick supplements. As in the past - legs, walking abilities and claws were the main issues of discussion and opinion.

MANY OLD FRIENDS WERE THERE!

It was a great pleasure to have Danie de Lange (Voermeester, Mariental), Kiep Lepen and Barend Dorfling (Agra, Stud Animal Services), Japie Bestebreurtjie (independent consultant) and many other Hartebeestloop “old” customers at the event. Hans Deloch (senior inspector) and Edward Hansen (junior inspector) were present on behalf of the Bonsmara Cattle Breeders Society.

HANS DELOCH WAS DIE SENIOR KEURDER

Edward was die junior keurder. Hy self teel uitstaande diere – so hy weet presies hoe lyk ‘n goeie funksioneel doeltreffende Bonsmara.
