MEN AT WORK!
Who could it be now?
Date:
October 2017

And “Who could it be now”? None other than a beautiful broad Bonsmara bull, that made the selection to be used in the stud. Is the tune from the band "Men at work" also in your head now? :)

This "working man" has 45 super-low-maintenance cows now, in a 400 hectare camp in the Namibian Kalahari. All of them bred from grain-free, grass developed cows and bulls – and we continue with the winning recipe! In April 2018 - with hopefully more rain - he will get 55+ cows.

Just shows you, grass developed bulls can also be broad, thick-set and easy fleshing
– and the best part is that they maintain condition, even in the Kalahari.

What do we expect from HIM?

  • a 100 calves per year over 2 breeding seasons!

  • What do we expect from his bull calves?

  • EXACTLY THE SAME!

Agra ProVision will host an interactive breakfast meeting to discuss and explain the “farmers catalogue” (“Boere Katalogus”) with the expertise of Dr Joggie Briedenhann. With the cattle auctioning season having started, and the stud auctions about to start, this would be a great platform for farmers and livestock producers to interact with the expert and learn more about the details on the catalogue.

The breakfast session takes place on:

    • Date: 28th of February 2014
    • Venue: Agra/Bank Windhoek Ring (at the Windhoek Show grounds)
    • Time: 7:30 until 9:00

To view the invitation, please open "Know your Farmers' Catalogue".

In preparation for the winter crops, participants will also be introduced to the low pressure Drip Irrigation Kits, known as latest technology that improves on vegetable production. Danie Marais, ProVision’s Technical Advisor: Agronomy & Horticulture, will demonstrate how this “DIY technology” works and answer your questions on small holder farming and urban vegetable production.

Kindly confirm your attendance with Twaku Kayofa by 25 February 2014 via Email twakuk@agra.com.na or by Tel 061 – 290 9364.
